Here you can select a story, though we always recommend starting from the beginning. The podcast is a single campaign told across several scenarios.

Our first story kicks off the Stories & Lies campaign as Judge Jacob Morrison recounts his team’s experiences from 1993, as they deal with the greatest threat any of them have ever known.

The scenario is based on “Ladybug, Ladybug, Fly Away Home” written by Jeff Moeller, and can be found in the book The Things We Leave Behind, published by Stygian Fox.

Ladybug features Thomas as the Handler.

We take a trip back in time to 1986 and catch up with Fred Fontaine, still living in his home Province of Québec. Working for the secretive M-EPIC agency, Fred, along with Eugene and Arjun, are sent to investigate the disappearance of another team, and discover that the world is a lot stranger than they may have known.

The scenario, “Painting Darkness”, is written and run by Taylor.

Fairfield sends his very best to investigate an unusual private auction, a gathering of the world’s elite bidding for powerful unnatural tools. Where there is power, there is desire. This story brings the spy-thriller to life as our agents descend upon this auction to recover the only thing that matters.

The scenario is The Auction, a homebrew scenario created for Stories & Lies by Mat.

Heaven’s Flame features Mat as the Handler.

We break from the norm and fast forward into the future for an existential sci-fi horror tale set in the deepest recesses of space.

The scenario is Ark-105, a homebrew written by Thomas Ogas and adapted for Stories & Lies.

Ark-105 features Thomas as the Keeper, and for the first time, Leighanna joins us as a player.

In this unique detour, Dorothy finds herself traveling to Roswell, New Mexico with some new friends to investigate the story of a lifetime.

The scenario, “Ghost Lights” is written and run by Thomas, with some inspiration from PX Poker Night by A Scott Glancy and Dennis Detwiller.

The year is 1990, and three convicted criminals reunite after serving time in prison for an art heist gone wrong. Their new mission: track down and recover the priceless artifact that got them locked up in the first place. Their journey takes them to the scenic coastal town of Golden Orchard, Maine, where not all is as it seems.

The scenario, “Golden Orchard”, is written and run by Taylor, and played using the Call of Cthulhu 7th edition game system by Chaosium.

We return to 1993 and rejoin our primary agents, Fred, Willow, and Dorothy, as they are tasked with quelling a possible outbreak of some kind of virus. A virus of the mind.

The Scenario is based on Unremembered by Heinrich Moore, with adaptations and inspiration from Dennis Detwiller’s Impossible Landscapes.

Static features Thomas returning as the Handler.

After the construction of the Cell-structure Conspiracy, our agents reunite as G-Cell for their next operation. However, something is a little different this time around… The team heads to Montana to investigate some peculiar unnatural phenomena.

The scenario is Dead Letter, written by A. Scott Glancy and published by Arc Dream.

Dead Letter features Thomas returning as the Handler.

We take a brief aside to join Fred as he investigates the disappearance of his nephew, Nicholas in this time-traveling, globe-spanning road trip of a story.

The scenario, “Days Long Since Decided” is written and run by Taylor.

We embark on a new campaign with four new agents… that’s right, four. These unlikely newcomers band together in the name of protecting the innocent, only to find they are in way over their heads…

“God’s Teeth” is a long-term campaign in several parts, written by Caleb Stokes and published by Arc Dream. Our incarnation of God’s Teeth is run by Mat.

meet the team

Fred Fontaine

Former RCMP and M-EPIC agent who fled his home in Québec, landing in the American south. Fred is rugged, calculating, and knows how to get the job done.

Willow Keason

Juggling roles as a doctor and pharmacology expert for the DEA, Willow’s intelligence is unparalleled. Her time in the military has guided her strategic thinking and given her the tools to be a capable leader.

Dorothy Somerset

The odd one out. Dorothy is a professor at Rice University, teaching and studying Archaeological Anthropology, with a focus on death traditions around the world. Her knowledge of the occult and mysterious paint a picture of the world that the others may need.
